Autumn Lips Edit

Fall is no doubt my favourite season for all the obvious reasons: colourful leaves, cozy outfits, Chai Latte, and of course, fall lipsticks.
Of course one can argue that forget about the seasons, wear the lipstick as you like. However for me, it just feels a tad 'righter' to wear Mac Chilli in 15 degrees than 25 degrees..

Today I'm sharing with you my selection of autumn lipsticks this year. It's not an easy decision I tell you that, but here you go, (in the swatch picture from left to right) they are:

Rimmel Lip Liner in Spice
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 501 Casual Pink (review)
Mac Chili
 Mac Velvet Teddy
YSL Volupté Tint-In-Oil in #6 Peach Me Love

Rimmel lip liner in Spice just screams autumn to me, it's a warm brown nude that is ultra matte. Due to the matte finish, it does tend to cling on dry patches. But it is so beautiful when the lips are well prepared. It also shows lip wrinkles to some extend, but honestly, I don't see it as a bad thing, somehow I find nude shades with some lip wrinkles are pretty sexy XD.

Chili and Velvet Teddy, one old favourite and one new-in. Both of them are Matte finish, but Chili is slightly less drying than Velvet Teddy. Chili is such a unique red with orange undertone, it looks absolutely beautiful on my warm skin tone. Velvet Teddy is a classic, I have no idea what took me so long to finally get it, but yes it deserves the hype and yes go get it now :).

You might remember this Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro from last autumn, I wear this shade all year round but reach for it even more often during autumn. Sometimes I like to pad only a thin layer to get a soft pink, sometimes full-on to get a sophisticated mauvy pink shade. It's semi-matte and feels very comfortable on the lips. Finally, this YSL tinted lip oil has been my latest obsession. It's perfect for the days when my lips are too dry and chapped for matte lipsticks. It appears as a lip gloss on lips, but actually a very moisturising lip oil. I love the concept of combining lip care and lip color in one. This shade is also very pretty, more spring than autumn I'd say, but who cares really, plus I'm eyeing on the nude shades from the YSL Tinted Lip Oil collection anyways XD.

What's your favourite autumn lipstick? Please share with me!

Soft Pink Kind of Autumn

I have to confess that I don't even remember when was the last outfit post.. There is always something in between- bad Swedish weather, no good photographer around, embarrassed to pose on a busy streets.. You know, excuses.

I'm slowly building up my 2016 A/W wardrobe as somehow I found my style changed a lot during last year. I'm so into the minimalistic and sophisticated looks nowadays! Maybe it'll be an idea to do a collective autumn clothing haul, what do you think?

Here I'm wearing some of my beloved new pieces:

Top - COS
Bottom - Monki
Shoes - Vagabond
Watch - Cyma

The newest Fresh mask, hit or miss? -Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask Review
Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask Review

I have always had this image of the brand Fresh: natural ingredients, beautiful packaging, expensive, exclusive (in a way that it's almost impossible to get hold of in most European countries).  So finally, I paid the Fresh shop a visit last time I went to Paris. This brand new mask caught my eyes instantly, vibrancy-boosting, duh who doesn't love that?! After two months of uses, I think it's time to share with you my thoughts on this bad boy.

The lady at the Fresh counter told me their products uses 100% natural ingredients, which explains its delicious citrus fruits scent. Seriously if you walk pass a Fresh counter, give it a sniff, it smells like nothing else! Just like other masks by Fresh, you find pieces of raw ingredients in it, the rose mask has rose petal in it, and this mask has citrus fruits chucks. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of it, sure it feels very natural and all, but it's such a pain to take it off. Plus honestly I don't see fruit chunks do anything special to my skin..

Now the product itself.. My skin feels tightened up while using it, and it does give the skin some vibrancy for sure, not to mention it's fresh delicious scent. So it's a good pick-me-up mask in a tiring morning, I like to bring it with when travelling. However that's about it. It doesn't do much more than that. I find the vibrancy and tightening it gives to be temporary, it doesn't bring much beneficial to my skin in a long run. So in the end I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Especially considering it's 69€ price tag, I was expecting something more.

All in all I would say it's a miss product for me. It's not so bad that I will give it away or stop using it, but it's just not as good as I expected, if you know what I mean. However if you're a morning mask person who enjoys citrus scent and is looking for something that gives instant vibrancy, it might be something for you!

Even though this mask did not score, I have heard loads of good things of their other products, so I'd love to try more in the future. Have you tried any Fresh products? What's your favourite?  Please share with me!

Gentle Cleanser Hits and Miss

I used to not care about cleansers, however I've come to realise that a good cleanser is the crucial first step in a skincare routine that provides a clean base for the follow up skincare product. If I have to choose between under cleaning and over cleaning, I'll choose the latter, however if possible I'd love to avoid both. Especially now we are at the change of seasons, my skin gets irritated more often than usual, so I have been looking for gentle cleansers for both day and night.

Blog Sale (Milani, YSL, MAC, NYX etc.)

Time for spring cleaning! Last weekend I went through my beauty stash and realised how necessary it was to declutter my collection. So I got rid of some products that were no longer fresh - straight to the trash bin without hesitation. And then there are still some products that are in good (even perfectly new) condition that I do not reach for. Therefore I thought to sale them here so that they will get much more uses with a new owner.

My Secrets to Natural, Radiant Cheeks

Last time I shared my secrets to natural, flawless base on the blog (here), you guys seemed to like it. So today I'm going to share my favourite cheek products at the moment, including one matte pink blusher, one shimmery orange/coral blusher and one highlighter. Of course as a makeup hoarder I own much more blushers but to be honest these three get me covered for everyday uses!

My Secret To Natural, Flawless Base

I am all for the light, natural everyday base, I want my skin to be able to breathe throughout the day and I don't mind showing some of my 'flaws'.
